Down Home Chicken and Biscuits

When most people think chicken and biscuits, a piece of moist southern fried chicken set between a biscuit and covered in gravy comes to mind. This version trades the fry-up for a pan sautéed chicken breast with a creamy and flavorful sauce. It is a mashup between the classic combination and a chicken pot pie. This easy casserole comes together in minutes and is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It is so flavorful, it is just as good for weekend entertaining!

Cookies, Desserts

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Cookies

The flavors of a peppermint hot chocolate shine through in these fun and festive cookies. They are perfect for the holidays or any winter’s day. This recipe includes two finish options: crushed peppermint candies or a fresh snow crackle. Whichever option you choose, they are sure to be a new holiday favorite!

Breads & Rolls, Desserts

Chocolate Chip Panettone

Italian panettone has quickly become just as much an American holiday tradition as it has in Italy. This Christmas bread is typically filled with dried fruits and nuts that are sometimes alcohol-soaked–similar to an Irish fruitcake. The process to make panettone can take days depending on the recipe, but this version is so easy, it is ready to go in just a few hours. I prefer chocolate to fruit in my panettone, and mini chocolate chips provide a big enough flavor, but are small enough to nicely fold into the dough.

Beef, Meat, Pasta, Rice & Beans

Korean Bulgogi Beef and Rice

Bulgogi, which translates literally to “fire meat” is typically thin-sliced marinated beef or pork that has been grilled or stir-fried. In this recipe, I combine familiar bulgogi flavors with the ease of ground beef to make a quick Korea-inspired dish that is big on taste and perfect for any night of the week.

Beef, Meat, Soups & Stews

Irish Beef and Guinness Stew

It doesn’t matter where you are in the world, a hearty beef stew tastes like home. This Irish Beef and Guinness Stew is easy to make and packs a flavor punch thanks to stout beer, porcini powder and lots of time (and Thyme!). You don’t have to be Irish or celebrating St. Patrick’s Day to love this flavorful dish. Serve it over a side of mashed potatoes and with a pint. It is a comfort food that is delicious all year round.
