This Carolina-style barbecue sauce is perfect for pork and chicken. Although I admit, it is so tasty I find plenty of other uses for it. So fire up the smoker or grill! It’s time to barbecue.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup yellow mustard

  • ½ cup honey

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup

  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • A dash of dried chipotle pepper

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • Dash of chipotle Cholula (or other brand) hot sauce

Directions

  • Whisk all of the ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • Add to a small pot and simmer for 10 minutes. Cool.
  • Pour into a jar and cover. Refrigerate at least one day to let the flavors come together.
  • To serve, warm it up in a small pot or serve at room temperature. Enjoy!
